Ian has lived across the street from Marlow House for over a year and has no idea Walt Marlow is his neighbor.

All that is about to change.

(Did I mention—Walt Marlow is a ghost.)

The Ghost Who Lied Haunting Danielle Book 13 eBook Bobbi Holmes Anna J McIntyre Elizabeth Mackey

When an elderly wheelchair bound guest at a party at Marlow House falls down the stairs to her death, her family are at the top of the suspect list. Did someone in her family want their share of her estate before nature took its course? Is she the newest ghost in Marlow House? What will happen when Lily tells Ian that she believes in ghosts and there's one in Dani's B&B, will he believe her? What if the elderly victim really has no estate for her family to inherit? This is the thirteenth book in the excellent series Haunting Danielle. The writing as always is outstanding. The characters we know and luv are all here,; Dani, Lily, Ian, Chris, Joe, Kelly and all the rest of the people we have come to luv over the course of the series. These characters are so well developed and believable that if you don't already luv them you soon will. The small town of Frederickport, Oregon is like any small town, everybody knows everyone's business and gossip moves at the speed of sound. I can't wait for the next book to come out. Highly recommended.

The Ghost Who Lied Haunting Danielle Book 13 eBook Bobbi Holmes Anna J McIntyre Elizabeth Mackey Reviews

I love, love, love this series. However it is a MUST, unfortunately, you do have to read them in order so that you can follow things being stated that happened in previous books. The characters are believable but I find it strange that while the main character can see and talk with spirits, that the author would write a few more with these gifts. However please avail yourselves with this series, it is well written although this is a second book I found it ended with things left hanging
I have read all the books in this series and have enjoyed all of them... am glad Ian finally knows about Walt.. I always enjoy the new adventures of the people at Marlow House. this would make a great tv series... If you have not read any of the other Haunting Danielle books .. you should start at the beginning.. each book is great on it's own and they do not leave you hanging but to truly get to know the characters you should start at the beginning.. will be patiently waiting for the next book....
This was a very interesting book compared to the other twelve I've read. Even though I enjoyed this book, I was disappointed in the ending. I thought this was the last book of the series and was so disappointed, but when I finished, I found out there's book fourteen coming out in September. I just wish it was sooner. I would recommend this series if they like murder mysteries with a little paranormal thrown in to the mix, along with a sense of humor.
When Lily tells Danielle that she is in love with Ian and that's a problem, Danielle laughs. Lily seems to be the only one who didn't know she was in love with Ian. But Lily knows that she can't marry Ian without telling him about Walt. Problem is, Ian doesn't believe in ghosts. He has gone out of his way to find explanations for all the strange things that have happened at Marlowe House. But Walt give Lily permission to tell Ian, who not only doesn't believe Lily but actually calls her a liar... Lily can't be with a man that doesn't believe her and Ian doesn't think he can be with a woman who is either a liar or a nut. How can Walt and Danielle solve these problems when all the relatives start showing up?
I really love these books; they are so enjoyable to read. I can't wait to receive each one. I've been reading them since the very first one arrived on the market. When they finally arrive and download onto my I curl up in my comfy chair and read to my hearts content. I love each one of her plots and how Ms Bobbi weaves your story line. The character's in the story are very believable and have become like old friends to me. The story's are clean with an occasional curse word, but easy to read over or ignore. Funny, romantic, nostalgic since the ghost is from the 1920's, exciting, suspenseful - really keeps me on the edge of my chair to the end. I love the interaction of the many different characters within the story. Keep up the great work Bobbi Holmes - they need to make a TV series out of these books - I know I would watch each one when they do.
If you take this as a book by itself you're likely to think it drags a bit. As part of the series it helps develop the main characters and add life to peripheral characters in the town.

I am starting to feel Danielle is too good to be true. It's one thing to be generous and selfless with your time and money and forgiving but Danielle takes it to a point that she will start to need other friends looking out for her. It's a bit much that she is so nonchalant about a law suit and doesn't seem overly concerned about defending herself against one. Anyone who owns a business like hers is going to have to realize if she doesn't defend herself she is going to be a perpetual target for con artists. And she can't be nonchalant about bleeding five million here, ten million there. That's carelessness that is hardly to be admired the way her actual philanthropy is.

Ian was insufferable. He has his nerve calling Lily a liar and make the accusations he does considering the way he played with the truth when they met. Fortunately he's been a good friend for the past several books and he has Sadie, or I would be glad to see him fobbed off on someone else like what happened to Joe Morelli.

Sadie and Max were great together.

I really enjoyed the awful Pruitt family. They are sadly realistic.
This is one of my favorite series. I didn't start reading this until about a month ago, oh I had the first couple on my kindle, just hadn't gotten around to reading them, but decided to try them one day (kept seeing some of them in the top 100 best sellers for cozy), and once I started reading the first one, I immediately bought the rest. Read the first 8 in a row, then slowed down when I didn't have many left. So, if you haven't read this series, do yourself a favor and do, but start with the first one. Sadly, I am all caught up now, so have to wait until September for the next one.
